They say a good song
is poetry to a beat,
but what if poetry,
is just a good song
without a beat?
Because it’s doesn’t matter if the rhythm is all wrong
or all right
because it’s all all right in the end.
It’s just the fact that I can repeat myself
and it means something
It’s just the fact that I can repeat myself
and it could mean nothing
but in poetry,
There’s no vibrato grotto
or back-beat sheet to hide behind.
In poetry.
Everything is free to see,
out in the air,
or the water,
or where ever you want it to be;
it’s not stuck in guitar riffs
or vocal cliffs,
or 4:4 time measures.
You don’t need to know how to read music
to read the pleasures
of poetry.
In poetry,
there can be a chorus because
it’s just the fact that I can repeat myself
and it means something
It’s just the fact that I can repeat myself
and it could mean nothing,
but you’ll never know the difference
because just like music there’s meaning hidden
between the lines.
