of flaming magma that might fall<\/p>\n

into itself at any given time.<\/p>\n

Oh God no.<\/p>\n

And I still want to be able to see<\/p>\n

after looking at you, and a blindingly<\/p>\n

bright light sounds blinding to me.<\/p>\n

I don’t want you to be miles and miles<\/p>\n

from your home and your family and earth while<\/p>\n

I need a telescope to see you.<\/p>\n

I don’t want you to be an enigma<\/p>\n

of science, I don’t want you to have the stigma<\/p>\n

of being\u00a0cliche.<\/em><\/p>\n

So don’t be that.<\/p>\n

I hope you won’t be that.<\/p>\n

Please: be space.<\/p>\n

Don’t\u00a0give<\/em> me space, though–<\/p>\n

I want to be able to see you<\/p>\n

without looking away<\/p>\n

night\u00a0and<\/em> day.<\/p>\n

I want to see you all around,<\/p>\n

up and down the sky.<\/p>\n

You wouldn’t be under pressure all the time,<\/p>\n

and you wouldn’t be able to blind<\/p>\n

anyone. I don’t want to need a rocket ship<\/p>\n

to be able to chase you down.<\/p>\n

Because I know who you are,<\/p>\n

and so I want you to be everyplace–<\/p>\n

Please don’t be a star.<\/p>\n
