Sit back and read the story of the universe–<\/p>\n
written in the stars,<\/p>\n
written in our scars,<\/p>\n
and we’ve never known worse.<\/p>\n
But that’s okay, since the stars keep shining,<\/p>\n
whinning,<\/p>\n
crying,<\/p>\n
and dying…<\/p>\n
The closest star to Earth is so far away<\/p>\n
that if it were to look back on us “today”,<\/p>\n
all it would see would be dinosaurs<\/p>\n
and meteors.<\/p>\n
And yet it still lights<\/p>\n
up our nights,<\/p>\n
still makes out constellations<\/p>\n
and hangs over our nations<\/p>\n
through thick and thin,<\/p>\n
through wars– no matter who wins.<\/p>\n
Because they tell the story of the universe in their only voice<\/p>\n
and even though it’s not our choice,<\/p>\n
we might as well listen.<\/p>\n
