I want to be someone’s companion.
Because I’m choking, getting claustrophobic
In this anaerobic, linear timeline.
I want to be able to see everything all at once,
So that I will never have to wonder
If it’s a concern or thunder
I want to have some kind of certainty
In this branching tree of destinies.
I’d like someone with a certain knack for adventure,
For knowing where they’re going
Who’s willing to venture out of their comfort zone
(And their police box.)
I just want to be someone’s companion
And even though they don’t usually grow in harsh conditions,
I have the ambition to bloom in the sands of time,
Through it all and see every star we can reach
as someone’s Rose left on a beach.
